About Helion
Helion was founded in by Johan Anstey who at the time still worked at Grin as a game developer. He created Helion to be able to provide consultancy services in his spare time for Intuitech which he has family ties to. Intuitech was by then developing a software for training fighter pilots, called Bullseye Trainer (BET).
In February 2010, Helion started a cooperation with Intuitech by joining their efforts in developing an artificial fighter controller (ACES). Using Pitch Technologies' networking software (HLA) to communicate with flight simulators, ACES has been on public display at conferences like I/ITSEC since 2011 and ITEC since 2013 in Pitch Technologies' booths as a demonstration of HLA's capabilities. ACES has been successfully integrated into flight simulators at the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI), Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) and SAAB. ACES was ordered by SAAB in October 2012.
Helion has since November 2010 provided consultancy to the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI) working on their flight simulator in Kista, Sweden.
In September 2014 Helion returned to the gaming industry by providing consulting services at Starbreeze Studios in Stockholm, Sweden.
Alfalon AB was founded in to be able to participate in frame agreements and handle larger deals.
